MLM companies are sort of genius in a sad way. They trick their customers into believing they're independent business people. They basically monetized empowerment.

I inadvertently interviewed at a pair of companies that toed the MLM line. Once I picked up on it, I had a grand old time trolling the interviewer with increasingly asinine questions. One asked me to leave, the other said I'd be perfect for the job.
